The quotient of 6x^2 + 5x - 1 and 2x + 1 is 3x + 1 with a remainder of -2. To solve this. Divide 6x^2 and 2x. Multiply 3x and 2x + 1, you'll get 6x^2 + 3x. Subtract 6x^2 + 3x from 6x^2 + 5x, you'll get 2x, then bring down -1. Divide 2x - 1 and 2x + 1, you'll get 1 with a remainder of - 2. So the final result is 3x + 1 with a remainder of -2.
