User: Solve the following quadratic equation using the quadratic formula and then choose the correct solution set. 6x2 - 7x + 2 = 0

User: Solve the following quadratic equation using the quadratic formula and then choose the correct solution set. 5x2 + 7x = 6

Weegy: 5x^2 + 7x = 6
5x^2 + 7x - 6 = 0
a = 5, b = 7, c = -6
b^2 - 4ac = 7^2 - 4(5)(-6) = 49 + 120 = 169
x = (-7 ± sqrt 169)/10
= (-7 ± 13)/10
= 3/5 or -2

User: Solve the following quadratic equation using the quadratic formula. Which of the following expressions gives the numerators of the solutions? 10x2 - 19x + 6 = 0

6x^2 - 7x + 2 = 0
a = 6, b = -7, c = 2
b^2 - 4ac = (-7)^2 - 4(6)(2) = 49 - 48 = 1
x = (7 ± sqrt 1)/12
= (7 ± 1)/12
x = 8/12 = 2/3 or
x = 6/12 = 1/2

10x^2 - 19x + 6 = 0
a = 10, b = -19, c = 6
b^2 - 4ac = (-19)^2 - 4(10)(6) = 361 - 240 = 121
x = (19 ± sqrt 121)/20
= (19 ± 11)/20
x = 30/20 = 3/2 or
x = 8/20 = 2/5

10x^2 - 19x + 6 = 0;
(5x - 2)(2x - 3) = 0;
5x - 2 = 0;
5x = 2;
x = 2/5;
2x - 3 = 0;
2x = 3;
x = 3/2;
The solution set for 10x^2 - 19x + 6 = 0 is x = 2/5 or x = 3/2.
