Did Weegy not use to invite users to start a question with "How are you " Or am I imagining I saw that? Surely some users new to the site have no idea how to start, and are just feeling their way into making contact. I agree with debnjerry, why shouldn't we answer openers like "How are you" with something like "Fine, thanks. I'm a live expert, have you a question you need help with " (Saying "I'm a live expert" or "an online expert" would discourage users from going on to make rude comments).

Well, we have our opinions about this. I used to answer questions such as How are you, Hi, I need help, but when the rule was implemented, I started to decline such questions.

So if that is the new rule, then my point is that users should also be aware that we are no longer allowed to respond to such questions, and that they need to start asking their specific questions.

Otherwise, we will just stick to the new rule.

For Common no value questions/comments like How are you, Hi, I need help and Can you help me, can the admin just create a auto response for these questions and auto response ends with What is your question?

Added 2/1/2014 9:54:17 AM
samn, sometimes, Hi, how are, or can you help me questions are answered by an auto answer until it reach the live expert. Sometimes, there are no auto answers at all, so I think it is a good idea to have auto answers for questions that we cannot answer. I'm sure Weegy Admin has a purpose why they made this a rule, but we don't know.
Added 2/1/2014 10:01:05 AM
I believe admin would not impose any rules without any purpose.
I already post comment to Weegy Admin's feed. We will just have to wait for their comments.

Thanks Andrew for the assistance.
