Explain how each of the five types of prewriting assist a writer in getting started
Weegy: Type 1: Brainstorming You need to spend some time thinking about what matters today. What will hook your readers in and entertain them? What will make them flip to the next page? You need to spend some time thinking about good topics. [ Whether you are writing a book, a non-fiction book, whatever you are writing needs to have a great topic. One that your reader will love to read and turn the next page. How this helps: Brainstorming can improve your essay or book or whatever you are writing because, without good ideas, you won't hook your reader in. You have to start somewhere, so start now. How this helps: This helps because you have something you can work with. You have your base plan. Now you have to add in, take out, and improve. Type 4: Looping Re-state your main point. This is looping. Always make sure that after every 10 sentences or so, you loop back to your main point. Don't go off on a rabbit trail. Stay with the public, and push them through slowly. Remind them what you are writing about, and what they are reading about. How it helps: Looping helps because it takes the student back to the main point. You ... (More)
