The table shows the annual consumption of cheese per person in the United States for selected years in the 20th century. Let x = number of years since 1900, and y = pounds per person. What cubic model best fits this data? Year Pounds Consumed 1902 1.959 1924 6.373 1946 7.29 1982 15.817
Weegy: 1.959 1924 User: What are all the real zeros of y = (x - 12)3 - 10? Weegy: (x - y + 1) - (x + y - 1) = 2 - 2y User: -x3 + 5x2 - 11x + 55 = 0 Weegy: Find the roots of the polynomial equation. -x3 + 5x2 - 11x + 55 = 0 - - - I graphed it; x = 5 is a root. - - - - - - Use Synthetic division to find the 2 other roots: 5)....-1....5....-11....55 ......-1...0.....-11...|..0 - - - Quotient: -x^2 - 11 [ = 0 - - x = +sqrt(11), or x = -sqrt(11), or x = 5 ] User: What are the zeros of the function? Graph the function. y=(x+3)(x-3)(x-4) (More)

-x^3 + 5x^2 - 11x + 55 = 0
- x^2(x - 5) - 11(x - 5) = 0
(x - 5)(-x^2 - 11) = 0
(x - 5)(x^2 + 11) = 0
x - 5 = 0 or x^2 + 11 = 0 (which is not possible)
so, x = 5
The solution for the equation -x^3 + 5x^2 - 11x + 55 = 0 is x = 5.
