Use the zero product property to find the solutions to the equation x2 + x – 30 = 12, the solutions are x = -7 or x = 6.

x^2 + x - 30 = 12;

x^2 + x - 42 = 0;

(x + 7)(x - 6) = 0;

x + 7 = 0; x = -7;

x - 6 = 0; x = 6

x^2 + x - 30 = 12;

x^2 + x - 42 = 0;

(x + 7)(x - 6) = 0;

x + 7 = 0; x = -7;

x - 6 = 0; x = 6
