Determine the solution of the system. Show your work. Y = 5x – 9 Y = 2x + 6
Weegy: ?6(5x + 1) + 3(2x ? 4) = - 30x + - 6 + 6x - 12 = (-30x + 6x) + (-6 + - 12) = - 24x + - 18 = - 24x - 18 (More)

Y = 5x – 9
Y = 2x + 6
substitute Y in the first equation:
2x + 6 = 5x - 9
2x - 5x = -9 - 6
-3x = -15
x = -15/-3 = 5
Y = 5(5) - 9 = 25 - 9 = 16
The solution for the system Y = 5x – 9 Y = 2x + 6 is (5, 16).
