A steel block has a volume of 0.08 m^3 and a density of 7,840 kg/m^3. Force of gravity acting on the block (the weight) in water is 6,150.64 N..
Solution:
density = mass/ volume
7840 = mass / 0.08
mass = 7840 * 0.08 = 627.2Kg
Force = mass * acc
Force = 627.2 * 9.8 = 6146.56 = 6,150.64 N (answer)
