3x + 5 < 6x - 1;

3x - 6x < -1 - 5;

-3x < - 6;

3x > 6;

x > 6/3;

x > 2

7(x - 2) = 3(x + 4)
7x - 14 = 3x + 12
7x - 14 = 12 - 3x
4x - 14 = 12
4x = 12 + 14
4x = 26
x = 26/4
x = 13/2

2x - y = 10
y = -x - 1
2x - (-x - 1) = 10
2x + x + 1 = 10
3x + 1 = 10
3x = 10 - 1
3x = 9
x = 9/3
x = 3
2(3) - y = 10
6 - y = 10
-y = 10 - 6
-y = 4
y = -4
Solution set: (3, -4)
