The gas in a cylinder has a volume of 6 liters at a pressure of 107 kPa. The pressure of the gas is increased to 201 kPa. Assuming the temperature remains constant, 11.5 liters would the new volume.
Solution
V2 = P2V1 / P1
V2 = 201 kPa * 6 liters / 107 kPa
V2 = 11.5 liters
