Question and answer
Why did the Spanish begin to introduce enslaved Africans into South and Central America? Removing Africans from Africa would make it easy to colonize Africa in the future. It would stop the increasing enslavement of Native Americans and allow their cultures to remain intact. It would bring West African agricultural methods to the New World and replace the dying Native American population. Slavery was mandated by the Catholic Church during the Counter-Reformation.
