(-4 + 7i)(-4 - 7i) = (-4)^2 - (7i)^2 = 16 - 49i^2
if i^2 = -1, 16 - 49i^2 = 16 - 49(-1) = 16 + 49 = 65

3x^2 - 4x + 5 = 0
a = 3, b = -4, c = 5
b^2 - 4ac = (-4)^2 - 4(3)(5) = 16 - 60 = -44 < 0
there are two complex roots for the equation 3x^2 - 4x + 5 = 0.

2x^2 + 4x - 5 =0
a = 2, b = 4, c = -5
b^2 - 4ac = 4^2 - 4(2)(-5) = 16 + 40 = 56 > 0
there are two real roots for the equations and the roots are:
x = (-4 ± sqrt 56)/4
= (-4 ± 2 sqrt 14)/4
= (-2 ± sqrt 14)/2

The distance between the points. (2, 3) and (-3, -6) is 106^1/2 .
distance^2 = (2 + 3)^2 + (3 + 6)^2
= 25 + 81
= 106
distance = 106^1/2

The simplest form of the general term for the sequence 11, 15, 19, 23, . . . is 4n + 7 .
common difference = 23 - 19 = 4
An = 11 + (n - 1)*4
An = 11 + 4n - 4
An = 4n + 7
