5 ? 4x = -7 or 5 ? 4x = 7;

5 - 4x = -7;

5 + 7 = 4x;

12 = 4x;

x = 12/4;

x = 3;

5 ? 4x = 7;

-4x = 7 - 5;

-4x = 2;

x = -2/4;

x = -1/2

x = {3, -1/2}

5x = 22 - 7;

5x = 15;

x = 15/5;

x = 3
