2x + y = -2 multiply -4 on both sides the result is:
-8x - 4y = 8 (equation 1)
-5x + 4y = 5 (equation 2)
adding up equation 1 and 2 the result is:
-13x = 13
x = 13/-13 = -1
2(-1) + y = -2,
y = -2 + 2 = 0
The solution for the system 2x + y = -2 -5x + 4y = 5 is (-1, 0)
