Question and answer
Introduction to Journaling 1. Life is a journey with a purpose. All of the people, places, things, and events we encounter along the way help us learn what we need to learn to reach our ultimate goal. Stress is a gift we give ourselves to remind us that we have temporarily lost our way, and the discomfort we feel provides us with the motivation to get back on track. When we are experiencing the signs and symptoms of excess stress, it is a sign that the people, places, things, and events have become the focus of our lives instead of ourselves and our purposeful journey. Stress is not
about what the world does to us; stress is about how we interact with the world. Our stress is determined by our relationship to the people, places, things, and events in our world. 2. If life 's journey is about learning, then the people, places, things, and events of our lives are our teachers, classmates, and books. As you work through the Journal Entries in this book, hopefully you will come to see these learning tools as part of your learning journey. Take the time to stop and reflect on the people you have met along the way, especially those who have impacted your life. Take the time to analyze the paths you have taken and not taken and how each has influenced you to be who you are now. 3. Physics teaches us that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. The energy you give off will be picked up and used by some other life form, and theirs will be used by you. The teaching energy put into this book is among the millions of teaching instruments you will encounter in your life. However, you will ultimately teach yourself. You will accept the teacher and lesson when you are ready. You will learn when you embrace the value of the lesson, when you believe in your ability to succeed, and when you are sufficiently motivated to do that which is necessary to accomplish the goal. Stress is a gift of motivation and a compass to remind us we are off course. However, your whole life is a journey, so there is no need to hurrylong dashif you miss this bus (or lesson) or if this bus only takes you part of the way, there will be another along shortly. long dash Girdano, Daniel, et al.
