sqrt (6x+8) = sqrt (7x-6)

Both sides are squared the result is:

6x + 8 = 7x - 6

6x - 7x = - 6 - 8

-x = -14

x = 14

check the solution:

sqrt (6*14 + 8) = sqrt 92

sqrt (7*14 - 6) = sqrt 92,

so sqrt (6*14 + 8) = sqrt (7*14 - 6)

Both sides are squared the result is:

6x + 8 = 7x - 6

6x - 7x = - 6 - 8

-x = -14

x = 14

check the solution:

sqrt (6*14 + 8) = sqrt 92

sqrt (7*14 - 6) = sqrt 92,

so sqrt (6*14 + 8) = sqrt (7*14 - 6)
