The solution to 3x - 7 = 14 is also a solution of 4x - 12 = 16.
3x - 7 = 14
3x = 14 + 7 = 21
x = 21/3 = 7;
4x - 12 = 16
4x = 16 + 12 = 28
x = 28/4 = 7
