The US Constitution separates the federal government into three branches ;

Legislative -is in charge of enacting legislation(Congress, comprised of the House of Representative and Senate )
Executive-is in charge of enforcing laws(president, vice president, cabinet, most federal agencies)
Judicial-determines whether or not a law is valid(Supreme courts and other courts )

The three branches of the US government include; Executive, Judiciary, Legislature whose respective powers and responsibilities are clearly stipulate in the Constitution
The Executive is compose of the President,advisors and government agencies and departments such as Independent Federal Agencies and Commissions, The Federal Information Center. The main role of the Executive is enforcing laws governing the country. General elections for the Presidential seat take place every four years and US citizens of 18years and above are eligible to vote.
The Legislature is makes the laws which are enforced by the Executive. The lawmakers are composed of the House of Representative and the Senate.
The Judiciary they interprete the laws passed by the congress and it include the Supreme Court and 9 justices.

Answer: The Coercive Acts (called the Intolerable Acts by the colonists) included a new Quartering Act that provided arrangements for housing British troops in American dwellings. It revived the anger that colonists had felt regarding the earlier Quartering Act (1765), which had been allowed to expire in 1770.
