User: Your boss asks you to compare two sound waves and determine which has the higher frequency. Wave A has a period of 4/100 second and wave B has a period of 1/7 second. What would you tell your boss?

Weegy: Frequency = 1/ T ,Wave A frequency =1/ 4/100 = 100/ 4 = 25 Hz, Wave B frequency = 1/ 1/7 = 7/1 = 7 Hz. Wave A has the higher frequency. Its frequency is 25 Hz.

he Doppler effect is the name of it. The sound waves are compressed and travel faster to your ears as the train draws near. The sound waves are uncompressed (stretched out) and arrive at your ears more slowly when the train passes by you and then moves on. As the train passes you, the shift happens gradually. The pitch level would return to the same level as when the train is closest to you if it were to halt after passing you and keep blowing its horn.

a substance that turns litmus paper blue and contains hydroxide ions is most likely a base.

A base produces hydroxide ions (OH ) in water. Hydroxide ions are responsible for the bitter taste and slippery feel of bases, and for turning red litmus paper blue.

The first scientist who attempted to make a periodic table is Dimitri Mendeleev. In 1869 Russian chemist Dimitri Mendeleev started the development of the periodic table, arranging chemical elements by atomic mass. He predicted the discovery of other elements, and left spaces open in his periodic table for them.
