What type of research do psychologists do? I heard psychologists have to do alot of research, what type of research?
There are few "pure"
Research psychologists. The
Research psychologists I've
met have conducted
research, like studies on
drug addiction and school programs. [ However, they
also performed other
activities, such as university
teaching, consulting, private
practice, or acting as a
statistician. From my experience, many research
psychologists are actually
regular psychologists who
conduct research on their
area of expertise or interest.
In fact, most universities and colleges require their faculty
to receive a certain number
of grants and conduct a
certain number of studies.
