Question and answer
why is it important to keep records secure in a health and social care setting
The purpose of written communication is to exchange information, building relationship, keeping records of certain things over a period of time, keep them as an evidence etc. The two types of communication are formal and informal. [ It is an effective ways of communication as the record has been made. In health care setting, it is an important to keep record of the medicine that they are taking or they took, health reports etc. Keeping records of these things helps other service providers to know the clinical history of the patients, health condition and to carry out with further needs. Some
of the examples of written communication are the letters sent to the patient, reports, appointments, notes, prescription etc. In social care settings, where there are old people, children etc. they cannot remember exactly as they should know nor they can tell as they should. So the written method helps them and helps service providers to remember or to know as well as other people like parents, family etc. The examples of written methods are the letters send to the family members, menu, care plan, etc. In early years setting, it is necessary for parents to know what is going on with there children. ]
