The value of y varies directly with x, and y = 3 when x = 1. y = -15 when x = -5.

Let y = kx , 3 = k , so y = 3x ,

When x = -5 , y = 3*(-5) = -15 .

Let y = kx , 3 = k , so y = 3x ,

When x = -5 , y = 3*(-5) = -15 .
