Weegy: As light intensity increases the rate of photosynthesis increases. This is because photolysis of water (splitting of water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen) is more likely to occur if light is more readily available. [ If the graph appears to level off at a certain light intensity then there must be some other factor limiting photosynthesis. ]

Photosynthetic saturation is the maximum rate of photosynthesis. The value of light intensity produced photosynthetic saturation in corn leaves is not constant.
