User: What is summarizing?

Weegy: Paraphrase is restatement of a text or passages, using other words. The term "paraphrase" derives via the Latin "paraphrasis" from the Greek para phrase n, meaning "additional manner of expression". [ The act of paraphrasing is also called "paraphrasis." ]

The synthesize information in a paragraph means combining. Instead of summarizing the main points of each source in turn, you put together the ideas and findings of multiple sources in order to make an overall point.
