User: this is my third assignment question n is worth 10 marks: ]You are working as a programmer of company X. You wrote a software for company Y that matches the requirement your company was given. But, requirements are so bad that you know the software will not match the actual needs. • Should your company say anything? Even if it would mean loss of future contracts? • Give reasons

Weegy: Yes, it would be advisable to say something. The key to retaining this client and receiving future contracts is how you approach the client. For example, you could first present the program requested. [ Then, you could demonstrate how the program, in your opinion, could be improved or modified to better fit anticipated problems. This approach is beneficial in that it gives the client what they requested but also shows your ability to anticipate future problems and your creativity in presenting solutions for such problems. ]

User: You are asked to write a program to print tags for a sale. Your boss asks you to put tags that have a price 10% higher, with a 10% discount marking it back to original price. • Do you do this? Give reasons

Weegy: You must consider both the ethical and professional aspects of the question. Ethically, what the boss is asking is not right. However, the boss/owner is in control of the company. [ [ Legally and technically he has the right to determine policies and procedures. This policy may backfire when the consumers realizes what the company is doing. Professionally one choice you have is to point out what you feel is the problem to the boss. However, before doing so, consider the professional implications and the fact that the boss may be able to terminate you. ] ]

You should immediately stop installing Microsoft Office software on company X's PCs and inform company X of the licensing violation to avoid legal and ethical consequences.
