-11 = 7/4r + 10

-10 - 11 = 7/4r;

-21 = 7/4r;

r = -21 ÷ 7/4;

r = -21 * 4/7;

r = -84/7;

r = -12

Solution:
Let's solve the equation: (x + (x + 6) = 29).
Combine like terms: (2x + 6 = 29).
Subtract 6 from both sides: (2x = 23).
Divide by 2: (x = 11.5).

So, the shorter piece is 11.5 ft, and the longer piece is (11.5 + 6 = 17.5 ft).

Solution:
Tthe common denominator, which is 105:

{Total tea purchased} = {1}/{15} × {7}/{7} { tons} + {4}/{7} ×{15}/{15} { tons}
{Total tea purchased} = {7}/{105} + {60}/{105} { tons}
{Total tea purchased} = {67}/{105} { tons}

Therefore, the trader purchased ({67}/{105} ) tons of tea.

This answer has been confirmed as correct and helpful.
Solution:
-11 = {7}/{4}r + 10
-21 = {7}/{4}r
r = {-21 × 4}/{7}
r = -12
{7}/{4}(-12) + 10 = -21 + 10 = -11

The left side equals the right side, so (r = -12) is the solution.
