Polonius
Polonius is a character in William Shakespeare's Hamlet: King Claudius's chief counsellor, and the father of Ophelia and Laertes. Hamlet eventually kills Polonius, which sends Ophelia mad and leads to the climax of the play: the duel to the death between Laertes and Hamlet.
