User: the winds of fate, What is this poem about?

Weegy: The poem "The winds of fate" is about an individual's journey through life. First Wilcox describes the reactions of ships that sail in different directions, even when the wind is blowing from the same direction, because of "the set of the sails". [ The wind symbolizes the events and problems that a person might encounter in life; Wilcox is arguing that it is "the set of the soul" i.e. the person's individual character and his or her reactions to the events and problems, that determines a person's ultimate fate. ]
