If hot oil pours on the skin, you can treat it at home by immediately cooling the burn with cool (not cold) running water for 10–20 minutes. Gently clean the area with mild soap, then pat it dry. Avoid popping any blisters. Apply an aloe vera gel or burn ointment, and cover the burn with a clean, non-stick bandage. Take pain relievers like ibuprofen if needed.
