Von Frisch won the Nobel Prize for decoding this bee dance. When bees are disturbed they give out a warning scent. On hives that are a little excitable the Beekeeper smokes them to mask this signal. If the bees sting someone, they leave a scent with the stinger so the other bees know who or what to attack. If the queen dies or abccounds her scent or phermone leaves the hive. The hive bees gather up one or several larva under 72 hours old and build a queen cell and feed it Royal Jelly and produce a new queen(s). If this fails the unfertilized workers released from the queens suppressing ... (More)
