User: Which of the following points is in the solution set of y < x2 - x - 6? (-2, -1)? (0, -5)? (3, 0)?

Weegy: 2(x - 4) = 6(x + 2)

2x - 8 = 6x + 12;

2x - 6x = 12 + 8;

-4x = 20;

x = -20/4;

x = -5

User: Which of the following equations is of a parabola with a vertex at (1, 2)? y = (x - 1)^2 - 2 y = (x - 1)^2 + 2 y = (x + 1)^2 - 2 y = (x + 1)^2 + 2

User: What is the solution set of 6x^2 - 24 = 0? {-2, 2} {-2} {2}

User: A circle has a diameter with endpoints of (-2, 8) and (6, 4). What is the center of the circle? (8, 12) (4, 12) (2, 6)

User: Graph y > (x + 2)2

User: Write the quadratic equation in general form. What is the value of b^2 - 4ac? 1 = 2x^2 + 7x 40 41 57

User: Find the midpoint of the line segment whose endpoints are (-2, 5) and (4, -9). (2, -7) (1, -4) (1, -2)

Weegy: (1, -2) is the midpoint of the line segment whose endpoints are (-2, 5) and (4, -9).

6x^2 - 7x + 2 = 0
a = 6, b = -7, c = 2
b^2 - 4ac = (-7)^2 - 4(6)(2) = 49 - 48 = 1
x = (7 ± sqrt 1)/12
= (7 ± 1)/12
x = 8/12 = 2/3 or
x = 6/12 = 1/2
The solution set for the equation 6x^2 - 7x + 2 = 0 is {2/3, 1/2}
