What is the connection between habit and moral character?
There is not a strong "connection" between these two really. They are two different aspects of being a person (kind of like, is there a connection being eating right and moral character and questions like that). [ Like the previous answer said, a habit is something, after having done repeatedly, becomes easier.
That said, good and bad habits in a person, once they have become habits, end up being done a lot (a person with a habit of helping old people bringing bring grocery bags to their car in a super market does it more and more, without having to think too much about it - good habit. a
person with a habit of making fun of others in a negative way, develops a habit that is hard to control and does it more often, often unconsiously, hurting people around him/her - bad habit).
So, if you want to call a connection - that's fine. I guess you can. For me, it is a personality trait - habits are relevent to character as a personality trait - i would see a person with a lot of good habits and fewer bad habits as someone with a good moral character. In the core however, moral character is the tendency of a person to be good or bad - habits don't mean (having a bad habit for example) a bad character just because the person has it, if he/she can control it not affecting anyone around. ]
