The slope of the line that passes through the points (3, 4) & (5, –4) is m = (-4 - 4)/(5 - 3) = -8/2 = -4

The slope of the line that passes through the points (3, 4) and (5, –4) is -4.

Slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1);

= (-4 - 4)/(5 - 3);

= -8/2;

= -4

m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

m = (-4 - 4) / (5 - 3)

m = -8/2

m = -4
