Weegy: It is important for others to know your whereabouts specially if you are going out with a stranger or you are going out alone. [ It is helpful to find you because you do not know what really can happen, what if something bad happened to you like you are missing for a few days or you are stranded and people can't reach you because you mobile phone battery has run out.
