The questions to ask when opening checking account is there a monthly fee and can I access the account with a debit card? With the monthly fee, I don't like that because what if there is not enough money in the account and your fees are due? That may give the account an overdraft ,and that's more money out my pockets that I probably won't have. Alot of banks offers free checking accounts which means no monthly fees.
