Thanks. I find it to be a trick question, because sweeping and adhesive-tape are both techniques. I found this which says its adhesive-tape. So both answers are right, so it will depend which one they want to hear. I hate questions like these.

Forensic technology has advanced to a point at which minute traces of blood may be located by the use of any of a number of substances used to detect or test for the presence of blood. Luminol is used to detect blood evidence in the dark.
