what is 0.05x-0.08+x=0.97
Weegy: x=1 User: may you please show your work Weegy: sorry, I didn't see the x on 0.05x, so the answer would actually be 0.05x+x=1.05, you add 0.08 to both sides to get it to the right side by itself, then add it to 0.97. [ So you want x by itself, so you subtract 0.05x from each side, which will give you x=1.05-0.05x ] (More)

0.05x-0.08+x=0.97
0.05x+x=0.97+0.08
x(0.05+1)=1.05
x(1.05)=1.05
x=1.05/1.05
x=1
Added 5/21/2009 9:57:52 PM
0.05x - 0.08 + x = 0.97;

0.05x + x = 0.97 + 0.08;

1.05x = 1.05;

x = 1.05/1.05;

x = 1

(x-8)/4=3/4(x)
x-8=3x.
-2x=8.
x=-8/2
x=-4.
Added 5/21/2009 10:48:36 PM
1/4(x - 8) = 3/4x

1/4x - 2 = 3/4x;

-2 = 3/4x - 1/4x;

-2 = 2/4x

x = -2 ÷ 2/4;

x = -2 * 4/2;

x = -8/2;

x = -4

Electric current is like water flowing through a pipe. Voltage pushes electric charges through a wire, just as pressure pushes water through a pipe. The rate of flow, or current, represents how much electric charge moves per second.
