User: Which choice is the equation of a line that passes through the point (0, –15) and is parallel to the line represented by this equation? 5x- 4y = 12

User: Which choice could be the equation of a line parallel to the line represented by this equation? 3x- 2y = 6

Weegy: 2(2x/3 + 7) - 3 = 5x 4x/3 + 14 - 3 = 5x 11 = 11x/3 x = 3 y = 2(3)/3 + 7 = 9 x(y) = 3(9) = 18. Answer is d.

2x + 5y = 36 is the equation of a line that passes through the point (–2, 8) and is perpendicular to the line represented by this equation of 5x - 2y = -10 .
5x - 2y = -10;
2y = 5x + 10;
y = 5/2x + 5 ;
The slope of 5x - 2y = -10 is 5/2 , slope of the line is -2/5, so the line is as follows ;
y - 8 = -2/5(x + 2);
5y - 40 = -2x - 4;
2x + 5y = 36 .
