-x + 3y = -5 ;

-x = -3y - 5 ;

x = 3y + 5 ;

3(3y + 5) + 2y = 4 ;

9y + 15 + 2y = 4 ;

11y + 15 = 4 ;

11y = 4 - 15

11y = -11 ;

y = -11/11 ;

y = -1 ;

3x + 2(-1) = 4 ;

3x - 2 = 4 ;

3x = 4 + 2;

3x = 6;

x = 6/3 ;

x = 2 ;

Solution set: (2, -1)

-x + 3y = -5 ;

-x = -3y - 5 ;

x = 3y + 5 ;

3(3y + 5) + 2y = 4 ;

9y + 15 + 2y = 4 ;
