A rectangular garden has a length of 20 yards and a width of 42 yards. A diagonal path runs from one end of the garden to the other. How long is the diagonal path?
To get the diagonal path you use pythegrous theorem:
LET THE PATH BE C
a^2+ b^2=c^2
400+1764=2164
square root 2164 to get 46.5 yards =squrare root c^2 to get c
hence 46.5=c
