User: is ink a substance?

Weegy: no. Ink is a homogeneous solution. If you want to see how many components are present, you can do a simple chromatography experiment. Using a paper towel, draw a line along the bottom of the towel. [ Then place the bottom of the towel in water so the line you drew is out of the water. Allow the water to wick up the towel. The bands that are present represent the various components in the ink.
