2x + 3y = 6, multiply 2 on both sides we get: 4x + 6y = 12;
5x + 2y = 4, multiply 3 on both sides we get: 15x + 6y = 12;
Subtracting the above two equations we get: 11x = 0, so x = 0
4(0) + 6y = 12, y = 12/6 = 2
The solution for 2x + 3y = 6, 5x + 2y = 4 is (0, 2)

x + y = 4
x - y = 6
Adding up equations we get 2x = 10, so x = 5
y = 4 - x = 4 - 5 = -1
There is one solution (5, -1)

y = 3 - x
Replace y in the first equation with the second one we get:
x + 3 - x = 6
simpliy the equation we get: 3 = 6 which is not true.
Therefore, there is no slution for the lear system x + y = 6, y = 3 - x
The liear system x + y = 6, y = 3 - x is inconsistent.
