The equation of the line that passes through (–2, 1) and is perpendicular to the line 3x – 2y = 5 is y = -2/3x - 1/3 .

3x - 2y = 5

2y = 3x - 5

y = 3/2x - 5/2

y - 1 = -2/3(x + 2)

y - 1 = -2/3x - 4/3

y = -2/3x - 1/3

3x - 2y = 5

2y = 3x - 5

y = 3/2x - 5/2

y - 1 = -2/3(x + 2)

y - 1 = -2/3x - 4/3

y = -2/3x - 1/3

Rewrite the standard form equation below into slope-intercept form. x – 2y = 3 is

y = 1/2x - 3/2 .

x - 2y = 3

2y = x - 3

y = 1/2x - 3/2

y = 1/2x - 3/2 .

x - 2y = 3

2y = x - 3

y = 1/2x - 3/2
