Identify the vertex and axis of symmetry for f(x) = -2x^2 + 2x - 1, the vertex is (1/2 , -1/2) , axis of symmety is x = 1/2 .

Symmetry = -2/{(-2)*2} = -2/-4 = 1/2

When x = 1/2

f(x) = -2*(1/2)^2 + 2*1/2 - 1

f(x) = -2*1/4 + 1 - 1

f(x) = -1/2

Symmetry = -2/{(-2)*2} = -2/-4 = 1/2

When x = 1/2

f(x) = -2*(1/2)^2 + 2*1/2 - 1

f(x) = -2*1/4 + 1 - 1

f(x) = -1/2
