What are the medical complications of babies born earlier than 32 weeks?
Babies born before about 32 to 34 weeks' gestation may have a number of complications, ranging from mild to severe. [ These include: Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), Apnea, Intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH), Patent ductus arteriosis (PDA), Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), Jaundice, Anemia, Chronic lung disease (also called bronchopulmonary dysplasia or BPD) and other infections. ]
