-4 is the answer for x + 1 over 6 and x + 2 over 4.

(x+1)/6=(x+2)/4

(x+1)/3=(x+2)/2

2*(x+1)/3=x+2

2x+2=3(x+2)

2x+2=3x+6

3x-2x=2-6

x=-4.

(x+1)/6=(x+2)/4

(x+1)/3=(x+2)/2

2*(x+1)/3=x+2

2x+2=3(x+2)

2x+2=3x+6

3x-2x=2-6

x=-4.
