y = 1/2 x + 1
2y - x = 6
substitute y in the second equation the result is:
2(1/2x + 1) - x = 6
x + 2 - x = 6
x - x = 6 - 2
0 = 4 which is false statement.
There is no solution for the system y = 1/2 x + 1, 2y - x = 6.
