Weegy: It basically means not to micro manager or to manage by empowerment. For a lamens example... If you were a general manager of a company and you had a complex manager under you who had a shift manager under them who had several superintendants [ reporting to the shift manager on down to the hourly employee. That a decision made about employee scheduling might be entrusted by a supervisor rather than the shift manager or higher such as you as the complex manager. This type of demoracy entrust the lowest members of a company or organization to make certain decisions. To manager by empowerment means that you give your folks reporting to you the power to make decisions without necessarily discussing them with you but making sure they understand that they are accountable for their decisions. This allows the subordinates to become more confident in their abilities and helps them be more self confident.
