2x+4=28 show all work
Solving for x. First we move like term to different sides of eq. so we leave the 2x where it is, because it's the only one, and we move the 4 to the right side as a negative 4. Now we have 2x=28-4 which is 2x=24. [ Then we proceed to get rid of the 2 to leave the x alone by diving both sides by 2. So now we have 2x/2=24/2. That should give us: x=12 ]
