Question and answer
four reasons for unemployment in SA and Globaly
Well globally I would assume that the recession is the biggest reason. [ This means that companies can no longer afford to employ more people and even have to downsize therefore contributing to the unemployment rate. In South Africa, as well as the recession, crime actually does pay. Because of a very low standard of education combined with a sense of entitlement in the youth stemming from perceived injustices done to them during Apartheid (which I may add ended before many of them were born and 90% of today's black youth had the same opportunities - if not more - than the whites and this
is still going on) people often find that it is easier to steal someone else's things than actually work to get their own. Add this to the gross inadequacy and apathy of our police force and you have an environment where it actually pays to be a criminal. ]
